This is to inform you about the upcoming
Courses on the Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict (ESDC & UN certified)
taking place from
13 - 18 November 2016
or alternatively
29 January - 3 February 2017
organized by the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR) in Stadtschlaining/Austria, in close cooperation with and support of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports (MoDS), the Austrian Ministry of External Affairs as well as the Austrian Ministry of Interior.
We will accept applications from senior international experts and decision-makers from civilian, military and police institutions active in peacekeeping and/or international crisis management (please see the attached information materials for more detail).
The Course is part of the ESDC Training Programme and has furthermore been certified by the United Nations.

How to register:
For practical reasons, both courses will be advertised together as their dates are close to each other.
Applicants are invited to select either or both course dates for their application as per their availability.
In case both dates are indicated, the course organisers will attribute the applicant according to profile to either of the two courses.
The application deadline for both course dates is the 11 September. Applications need to be sent directly to the ASPR as per the attached documents where you will find all further detailed information.
